Nick brings it back to the local scene with excellent friends of the podcast and Alley Cat Tattoo. Jeff Guinn is the singer for Aggrocrag and printer of many fine t-shirts and other things. Grant Penrod fronts Crab Action and takes care of business in Rocktown. Both local bands have huge followings and fun histories and it's all talked about on this episode. Andrew Conner hangs out and shares his experiences with the bands and everybody remembers the beginnings of MacRock, the yearly music event that kicks ass in H-burg.

Go to macrockva.org to find out all about it.

Shop Talk gets back in the groove with Nick, Andrew and a newly returned Mr. Chris Porter. Enjoy, y'all!

While Nick & Richie were at the hotel across from the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention this year, Jason Goldberg returns for another episode of NLJBS. He's local at Olde City Tattoo and also owns the Black Vulture gallery in Philly. Along with Goldberg is Joey Knuckles out of Columbus, Ohio where he owns three shops.

There's a ton of shit-talkin' and stories that span all the topics you might expect from this crew. And just a lot of fuckin' around in between. Buckle up and check it out!

Also, you're in for a Shop Talk treat as Mr. Chris Porter brings you a remote special from San Fran where he lets y'all hang out with another NLJBS alumni: Jill Bonny Horiyuki and Chris Wielk, both from Studio Kazoku where Porter was visiting. It's almost a bonus episode as they go deep into some San Francisco history and tattooing and a whole lot of Japanese tattoo talk. It's amazing. Great job, Tats.

It's a yin-yang of podcast all in this episode. Enjoy.

Nick & Richie leave Alley Cat and Harrisonburg to travel up to the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention, but don't set foot in the convention hall. Instead they grab a room and grab some episodes.

Things kicked off last week with Sailor Eddie and they keep cruisin' along with NY tattoo artist Rich Fie who has some excellent bullshit and some interesting friends and even a podcast of his own called the Neighborhood Knuckleheads. Check it out and check this out.

Shop Talk ties right into the episode with Nick, Porter & Andrew, the usual suspects.

Another year, another Philly Convention where Nick does not attend, but instead records some killer shit across the street. This year it's yet another classic bit of tattoo history with Sailor Eddie. Nick and Eddie lay down some killer stories for over an hour and then the man: Eric Perfect joins the fun and it gets even better. Do not skip this one. Pure gold right here. And a good, long Shop Talk to boot with Andrew, Porter & Nick.

The man, the myth, the legend: Shane Enholm comes all the way to the No Lies studios after visitin' some historical sites and hanging out with Annette LaRue and Steve Tiberi. Prepare yourself for an epic triple hour dose of non-stop storytellin' and bullshittin'. It doesn't get any better than this, folks. Have fun!

Shop Talk wraps it up with some killers discussed by Nick, Andrew and Porter. Hell yeah.

Feb 12, 2019

NLJBS veteran Scott Sterling brings Patrick Kitzel of the Tribal Tattoo Tour to Harrisonburg to sit down with Nick and talk some bullshit. Lots of great stories on this one, including a special Shop Talk with Porter and Andrew bringing up all the artists on the tour!

Feb 5, 2019

So much good stuff on this one! There's a whole lotta Richmond discussion and tattoo industry up and comer history and conversations on this one. Fred Pinkard and Josh Autrey from Alliance talk some shit with Nick and there's no shortage of ditch-digging analysis. Enjoy.

Shop Talk is right up in there and on time with ya' boys Andrew and Porter joinin' Nick. Boom!

Jan 29, 2019

On a recent trip to Richmond, Nick had a chance to catch up with two old friends and NLJBS veterans and they had a few drinks and a good ol' time. Settle in for a long one full of stories that go all over the place and listen as these friends have a blast talking about everything that has been going on these last few years and more. It's a great one, y'all.

Shop Talk closes things out with a few heaters discussed by Nick, Andrew and Porter. Boom!

Jan 22, 2019

Once again, it's a crazy discussion about music, readin' - fightin' and drinkin'. This one may not be as long as most of the recent episodes, but it's a crazy good time!

Shop Talk caps things off with some killer tat talk.

Jan 15, 2019

Jeff Gray is a managing chef at VA Tech and the brother of Brian Gray, former Alley Cat Tattoo artist. Jeff and Nick share all kinds of stories and thoughts about food and recipes and experiences in the kitchen in general as well as all of the shenanigans that come along with working on the meals that sustain our lives. Some crazy stories come out of it.

Shop Talk follows with Porter & Conner and Nick. Oh yeah.

Jan 8, 2019

It's been a while, but Josh finally steps out from behind the curtain once again to bullshit with his younger bro about the old stomping grounds. From drunks in the Jungle to forgetting the name of Verge Street, there's a few wild stories and a crazy new development in the world of the Swartz bros. Check it out for more repeat stories and yet another mention of that Florida episode.

Plus, Andrew's back on the Shop Talks with Mr. Chris & the Boss.

Jan 2, 2019

Mr. Cody Klein from Inksmith & Rogers down in sunny Jacksonville, FL headed up to the hills and talked some shit with Nick for a few hours. This is some good ol' storytellin' and good times talkin' to kick off two thousand and nineteen the right way. Hell yeah!

Porter kicks it one more time in a Shop Talk duet with Nick. Andrew should be back next week. Here's a beginning to so many more great tattoos in the new year.
